While downloading SLE, my antivirus deleted the file.

Your antivirus may flag SLE during download due to the way it interacts with Steam.

⚠️ Solution: Temporarily disable your antivirus before downloading. If you're unsure how to do this, search online for instructions specific to your antivirus software. If you don't have a third-party antivirus installed, it's most likely Windows Defender — you can disable it temporarily through Windows Security settings.

After downloading, remember to add the installation folder to your antivirus exclusions (see FAQ #7).

2

How do I bring up the menu?

Press F12 while the Steam window is in the foreground (active/focused).

3

I can't download the games (or DLCs) I added. Why?

This software only edits the internal library of Steam. There is currently no way to add Steam licenses (or keys) through this tool.

We are actively working on implementing decryption key and license manipulation features. Consider donating to support development!

4

If I can't download games, what is this software supposed to do?

Family Share Bypass: If you are using Family Sharing and the library gets locked because another user is playing from that library, this software bypasses the library lock. You (and all other players using SLE) can play the game at the same time without the game being closed after 2 minutes.

Additionally, you can add any DLC to any game you own.

5

Games are not getting updated when I add them to the library.

Games added with this software do not receive updates while SLE is enabled.

⚠️ Solution: Go to Settings and enable "Disable SLE for now" while updating your games. You can re-enable SLE after the updates are complete.
6

I added a DLC but it doesn't show up in the in-game menu.

There are several possible reasons:

1. The DLC probably requires a download. You could obtain the files from the internet.

2. If you already have the files, you may also need to obtain the manifest files.

3. If you have both, the game might have an online verification check for DLCs. Unfortunately, in this case, there is nothing that can be done.

7

My antivirus triggers when I try to install the software (or open Steam).

Due to the way the software works, SLE loads itself into Steam's process. This behavior can trigger security checks in your antivirus software.

Solution: Add the following folder to your antivirus exclusion list:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibraryEditor
8

When I enter the License Key it says "Invalid IP".

If you are using a VPN, there may be a discrepancy between the IP address detected by SLE and your browser's IP address.

Solution: Disable your VPN and try entering the license key again.
9

I can't skip the ads on the link. The captcha doesn't work.

If the page gets stuck on the captcha, try the following:

1. Refresh the website.

2. If the problem persists, try using a different browser.

3. Disable your AdBlock extension and try again.
